Yes guys it is true. Our very own star from Saturday Night Live, Tina Fey and Oprah Winfrey were seen together in the Emmy Award winning TV show, 30 Rock. It was really a treat to watch the two greatest television stars together on a show. Tina, who gained much popularity playing the role of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has definitely been one of the factors responsible for the high ratings of the show. Her brilliant performance has added millions of new viewers to the show.

Many of you might not be aware of the fact that apart from acting Tina Fey is also co-producing and writing for the sitcom Saturday Night Live. She joined the show in 1997 as a writer and was upgraded to the position of head writer in 1999. She was hired as a cast member in 2000. However, she left the show in 2006 to create a show of her own named 30 Rock. Even though she has come a long way, her attachment to Saturday Night Live is apparent from the fact that she has acted in many of the sketches even after she left the show. She is also one of the cast members who has come back often to host the show. Well all we can say is Great going Tina. But we do wish that she keeps on making her appearances on the show and entertaining us with her brilliant performances.

Well folks, our favorite show Saturday Night Live was in news once again. This time it was in reference with George Carlin who was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. For those of you, who do not know, George Carlin was the host of the first episode of Saturday Night Live when it premiered on NBC in October 1975. The award was received by Kelly Carlin McCall, the daughter of George Carlin who died on 22nd June this year following a heart failure.

George who was known for his unique comic style, will always be remembered as the initiator of Saturday Night Live. It turned out to be one of the longest running shows in the history of American Television. The comedy star paved the way for the hosts of the later episodes of the series. There could be no better host for the first episode of a comedy based variety show other than the most popular comedian of his times. Lets all join the cast and crew of Saturday Night Live in paying homage to the great comedian who became a guiding star for many generations of comedians. May his soul rest in peace!!!

Guys, guess what!! A little birdie just told me who will host Saturday Night Live on 22nd November. Okay, I will not keep you waiting, but all you young ladies out there just hold your breath. Well, the host for the night will be the popular and dashing country singer Tim McGraw. Isn’t it great, two of my favorites will be coming together for a night of complete entertainment? I am so excited, I can already feel the butterflies flying wild in my stomach.
Saturday Night Live has been and remains one of my favorite shows. I hate to miss even a single episode of the show. The comedy in the show really makes one laugh out loud. In addition the comments passed in the segment Weekend Update are really worth listening to. There is also the musical performance by the guest artist. Overall I feel that the show is a complete entertainment package.
I am really exited about Tim McGraw hosting the show. He has been one of my favorite
singers for many years now. His voice has got perfect quality for country singing. I hope he is also a good comedian. Well guys, don’t let your excitement die till 22nd of November. Remember, it will be a treat to watch your favorite singing star on your favorite television show. So till then happy viewing.
