An appearance from Tom Hanks going gaga over his latest Oscar trophies, a disastrous sight of digital-shorts on-stage, and a thorough glimpse of The Shins are the few most memorable of sights on the segment that went by.

The performance by The Shins was filled to the brim with the strangest of beats, organs and the weirdest of adjustments on the keyboard. Whatever it was, it was feeble enough to attain much of applause from the audience, therein.

Saturday Night Live season 37 episode 18 will introduce to the special guest of the evening, Sofia Vergera, the 39-year-old glittery celebrity and sex-symbol, who will be joined, eventually, by Harry Styles, the eighteen-year-old stud-musician and singer from the boy band, One Direction.

The segment can be expected to take a hilarious turn, right from the beginning for Styles is known for nurturing a strange fetish for older women, and Vergera is all set to spoof her sex-symbol image.

So I guess, this is Harry’s opportunity to prove his sense of humor, outside kiddy-shows on Nickelodeon.

And, ending my blog with a secret revealed – Harry just can’t wait to get on-stage with this mature bomb-shell (though, Vergara at present is very stable in a relationship)…

At least those, who subscribe to the online hullabaloo that Lana Del Rey was one of the worst musical guests to ever appear on SNL, would take a note of what the above title conveys.

Buzz is on that the music sensation has cancelled her forthcoming Australian tour. And it came at a time when singer’s image was somewhat torn apart in the online world, denouncing her to be an inept artiste.

Her promoters gave the lame excuse of too much international pressure on the singer as one of the prime causes of pulling out from Toff in Town that was slated to kick off on March 3.

Well, it takes no rocket science to put across an assumption that Rey has decided to keep herself at bay for some time, so as to give enough space for her defaced image in the international market to refurbish.

And then, Robyn really ensured sparks out of that segment, when she flawlessly performed ‘Call Your Girlfriend’ and ‘Dancing on my Own’.

Well, more than the performances, it was an evening rightly dedicated to Katy, who made it quite impossible for the audience to hold back their bouts of laughter. As for the next, Saturday Night Live season 37 episode 10 will find Jimmy Fallon hosting the show that promises Michael Bublé as its guest performer on Saturday night, December 17, 2011.
